Beans!

Beans, Beans the wonder food - the more you eat the more you toot!

At Enrich today we were visited by many different types of beans. Legumes such as Runner beans, String beans,  jumping beans,  jelly beans and my absolute favourite - French beans, ooh  La La!

It was such a shame that the beans couldn't stay to help us learn three new songs which were:  Don't stop me now by Queen, Taller, Stronger, Better - by Guy Sebastian and Oh My - by Gin Wigmore. They were very challenging songs to learn but it was worth the practice because it sounded awesome.

Until next term, Joey

Fight for whats right!

Do you think Trees have rights?
In my opinion Yes Yes they do and that was exactly what I told Jenni at todays P4C session.
We also discussed other fascinating topics such as..
 # Do animals have rights?
#Do human have rights and what happens when they are taken away?
#Do you think that us as students should have the right to made important decisions?

My favorite topic to discuss was the last one, do you think us as students should have the right to make any important decisions.  Jenni said we should have a debate about it. I was definitely in because I wanted my opinion to be heard. I was dubbed Captain and the debate was on. It was a very good session and I really enjoyed it. So if you are ever in a situation with different points of view for goodness sake "Don't hate DEBATE!"

Bye for now,  Joey

Music with Nicola

Hi, guys

This Morning I wasn't at Enrich so sadly I missed out on Nicola's amazing performance group. They had to audition to see if they would get in. Luckily I didn't have to audition because I had already sang to Nicola earlier in the year. Our goal for the performance group is for us to go out into the community and sing and dance.  We are going to put on live performances at Wachner Place.

Until next week,
Yours truly,
Joey

Tipping the scales of fate

Intelligent or not intelligent is the question at hand , and I am on a  problem solving quest to get to the bottom of it.
The questions are hard, but to answer requires a lot of brains. but beware not to tip the scales of fate! Katie left us to ponder these questions and decide which side we think person should go on, if they are  intelligent or if they are not. There was one question that got me stumped. it was this
''If a person who can read but struggles with writing does it mean that he is not gifted? What do you think?

Cain's Arcade

Cellotape, cardboard and your imagination are all you need to make an arcade as I was shown today with this inspiring documentary called ''Caine's Arcade''. In this movie I was shown that you don't have to have a lot of money to have a great time.

Caine started out with one game and it just snowballed into about ten arcade games altogether. In LA where Caine lived no-one was interested in playing Caine's homemade arcade, but by a strange circumstances a film maker came to Caine's dads shop for a door handle for his car and he saw Caine's arcade. He got a fun pass which allowed him to play for 500 turns for only $2.00. this film maker decided to make a movie about Cain. He posted it on Youtube and within 24 hours it got 3,0000 page views.  I think that Cain's is a very gifted individual don't you?

Music to my ears

The tinkle of the piano, the  splash of the harp and the strum of the guitar  as it fills the room, this is music at it's best. I can hear a semibreve, shortly followed by two minims. Two bars later four crotchets and eight quavers.I can imagine Bark playing this melodic tune. I heard when he mourned and I mourned with him, when he was joyous I was joyous aswell. I knew that this was going to be something that would interest an individual like myself. Music makes me happy and something that I hopefully will keep up for a long time.

Until next time, Joey.

The hoop of DEATH!

The sun was glistening down on the hopeful faces of the teams. The excitement was in the air and in the midst of it all stood the hoop of DEATH.  I thought I could conquer it as Goliath did with the giant. But boy was I wrong... I tried but always failed -  my hopes were dashed.  I looked at the bright blue hoop with wonderment and awe, and wondered how this simple task could be so hard, and then I realised that the hoop was laughing at me. I was now determined and focused but as soon as I got my mo-jo we were rushed inside.

Until next Wednesday,
Yours truly, Joey
